Among the busiest and most consistent rappers from the Bay Area, Mistah F.A.B. blew up during the hyphy era but has kept putting out diverse and always on-point music even though that genre was relatively short-lived. On Face Off, he connects with San Diego emcee I-Rocc; the idea for a collabo album came after a night partying together in Las Vegas. Produced by Fetty Slaps, Coach Money, Curt Nitty, and THC R.O.B., the set delivers 14 tracks loaded with synth-driven beats and freaky tales of bugged-out strippers ("Never Seen"), murderous rampages ("Don't Jam on Me"), and partying ("Any Given Sunday"). Wildly catchy and full of humorous debauchery, it includes guest features from Cali favorites like Glasses Malone, X-Raided, San Quinn, Philthy Rich, and Juice Lee, plus up-and-coming grinders Lil Kurtis, Gee Gee Bstone, Al Savage, Tyrone, and Don Diego, among others.
