Details
[Edit]Magic Flutes & Music from the Andes is largely the work of flutist Gonzala Guala, who along with Mauricio Vicencio make up the group Alpamayo. The collection features traditional pieces from the Quechuas and Aymaras as well as "musica criolla" — carnival songs — which developed under European influence. The sound is bright, open, and airy, with panpipes galore.
