Details
[Edit]As part of The Definitive Black & Blue Sessions series, tenor saxophonist Arnett Cobb is spotlighted on ten digitally remastered tracks, recorded live in France on March 16 and 29, 1980. Cobb recorded several records for Black & Blue, but this straight-ahead live session is special. Paired up with tenor associate Guy Lafitte, Roland Hanna on piano, Jimmy Woode on bass, and Eddie Locke on drums, Cobb is still in excellent form even though this was recorded late in his career. Among the previously unreleased tracks are "Oue Reste-T-Il de Nos Amours," "Make Someone Happy," "The Nearness of You," and "Blues in Deauville."
