[Edit]The veteran swing tenor Buddy Tate is mostly sticks fairly close to the melody throughout these ten ballads, three of which were released for the first time on the CD reissue. The music is enjoyable enough if a bit restrained and guitarist Ed Bickert (who is heard along with bassist Don Thompson and drummer Terry Clarke) often shares solo honors on this tasteful affair.
