Details
[Edit]Coming out of Oakland, Clyde Carson blew up as a member of The Team: an original Bay Area Hyphy group that dropped locally huge singles like "Hyphy Juice (Remix)" and "Just Go." Though the short-lived movement never broke outside of Northern Cali, Carson has stayed busy over the years, earning new fans with a pair of impressive EPs (Doin' That and Bass Rock). On S.T.S.A.: Something to Speak About, he serves up a solid collection of joints focused mostly on relentless hustling, getting paid, and staying faded, set to tremendous bass bumps and handclaps galore. He shows a softer, mellower side on "Red Cup" and "Choosin'" and also connects with Golden State OGs B-Legit and E-40 on "Let Me Know" and "All the Way 100," respectively. While it may not dominate the pop charts, this will definitely satisfy Carson's legions of established fans.
