[Edit]Balavoine is an 18-track compilation covering his brief but intense career before an untimely death in a helicopter crash in Mali in 1986. Contained here is his first semi-hit, "Lady Marlène," as well as his more mature work, evidenced best by the track "Dieu Que l'Amour Est Triste." This is an excellent introduction to an artist who ruled the French pop scene for a very brief period, but made a lasting impact; his influence looms large in 21st century French popular music.
