Details
[Edit]This CD gives listeners a sampling of the late 60's funky jazz music that keyboardist Don Randi prefers to play. Once one gets past "The Alien" (which sounds like a Dave Grusin TV theme song) and the pop/soul vocal track "Nightingale," the remainder of the CD seems as if it could have come from Ramsey Lewis. Danceable and upbeat with Randi's acoustic piano in the forefront, the music (which is performed by a rhythm section, occasional horns and background vocalists) is fun if lightweight from a jazz standpoint.
