[Edit]Akin to labelmates Tarentel, the Drift use long, droning melodic passages over long periods of time to tell their stories. The difference between the two groups is that while Tarentel opt for the low, dark roads, the Drift choose to spend their time in the sunshine. The single's A-side "Streets," starts with a bleak field recording that somehow gets lost in an alleyway in Peru celebrating New Year's Eve before settling down again. The album's second side, "Nozomi," is a brilliant, somber dirge that trudges along at a glacial pace with dense, sparse instrumentation before putting itself to rest with some warm milk and sedatives.
