The inspired second album from legendary U.K. dub drummer Style Scott. Working in the late '70s during the formative years of Adrian Sherwood's On-U Sound label, Scott was there at the beginning keeping time with the New Age Steppers alongside Bim Sherman and Doctor Pablo. In 1982 Scott and Sherwood released the legendary Pounding System, which would transpire to be one of the most influential albums of '80s U.K. dub. This follow-up album didn't let up from the innovations of the debut and is an equally arresting ride that exhibits some of Adrian Sherwood's most accomplished work. The following two decades would see Dub Syndicate become the quintessential new-dub unit working with Lee "Scratch" Perry, U-Roy, and Skip McDonald among many others and effectively establish themselves to be one of the most high-profile units in dub. The raw innovations of One Way System and Pounding System remain unsurpassed as being one of the defining On -U Sound documents.
