[Edit]This riff-heavy geek rock from a band that rose from the ashes of cult popsters the Smoking Popes owes more to Cheap Trick (which also hailed from Illinois) than it does to Weezer, though comparisons to the latter aren't exactly misleading. Leader Josh Caterer relatively famously became a born-again Christian, a move that led him to disband his former group and take time before forming Duvall and recording Standing at the Door, but the lyrics do not fit the stereotype that such a change suggests. ~ Brian O'Neill, Rovi
