[Edit]The title for Eric Darius’s sixth album is as much a manifesto as a catchy phrase. Using an assortment of top-tier producers, the tenor saxophonist/singer/composer sidesteps the saccharine production values that populated contemporary jazz of the past in favor of a well-honed blend of organic acoustic instruments and some modern hip-hop and R&B touches. Tunes like a tasteful remake of Pharrell’s hit “Happy” and the uptempo original title cut should once again keep him on the charts. Also check out the moody cover of Barry White’s “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love” and “Heaven Sent,” which sounds like classic Stevie Wonder.
