[Edit]Former Spinners lead singer and Motown solo artist G.C. Cameron returned to his Mississippi roots in the early '80s, relocating to the state and signing with the Jackson-based company Malaco. This album was unfortunately too Southern, and too rural in its production and sensibility to get any shot on urban contemporary radio stations. It did get some regional attention, and also showed that Cameron's soulful sound hadn't lost its edge.
