[Edit]Jimmy Dean's Greatest Hits remains an excellent summation of his years at Columbia Records, containing the hit singles "Big Bad John," "The Cajun Queen," "To a Sleeping Beauty," "P.T. 109," "Little Black Book," "The First Thing Ev'ry Morning (And the Last Thing Every Night)" and "Harvest of Sunshine." For the 1998 CD reissue, Columbia/Legacy added the 1962 Top Ten hit "Dear Ivan," making the record a near-definitive overview of Dean's peak years.
