Move Over, Johnny Colon's third record for Cotique, varied slightly from its pair of predecessors, but still resulted in a set of diminishing returns that approached zero. Opening with the same type of groovy boogaloo crossover ("What You Mean") that Colon had written for his first two LPs, the album includes more material not written by Colon — uninspired Latinized covers of "Sunny" and "Stand by Me" — and stylistic mixups like "The Night Is Quiet" (doo wop) and "Retorno del Mambo." The best track is "Si Te Fuiste y Que," the only time the Colon band found enough energy (on record) to compete with contemporaries like Willie Colón and Ray Barretto.
