[Edit]Veteran trumpeter Jon Eardley and the early bop pianist Al Haig teamed up for the first time on this Spotlite session. Performing with a quintet also including tenor saxophonist Art Themen, bassist Daryl Runswick and drummer Allan Ganley, Eardley and Haig are heard in creative form on six jazz standards including "'Round Midnight," "Tangerine" and "Love Walked In." A historic and rewarding one-time encounter.
