Details
[Edit]Although Juan José Mosalini has been living in France since 1997, he is probably one of today's best Argentinean bandoneon and tango players. In addition to a good number of CDs in trios or with larger orchestras, Ché Bandoneon is Mosalini's second solo CD of tangos on his instrument (his first being Don Bandoneon, released in 1997), except that this time he is accompanied on three songs by violinist Antonio Agri. In solo, his music is more intimate and, especially, more poignant — because his musical and Argentinean soul is "alone" with his instrument as a solitary lover longing for love. The songs he presents on the CD are from modern and avant-garde tango composers, including himself, Astor Piazzolla, and many others. ~ Bruno Deschênes, Rovi
