[Edit]Wow! Here is one very hip, fast-paced Venezuelan harp record on the Philips Espanol label. From the late-1960s "mod" or "now sound" period, Arpa y Trompets is great all the way through. Julius Wechter's "Brasilia" and Chico Buarque de Hollanda's "A Banda" will be familiar to fans of Herb Alpert and his imitators. "Amor es mi Cancion" is by Charlie Chaplin and adapted from his A Countess from Hong Kong movie. "Marina" is a Delgado original. Manny Delgado and his band really move; the harp is not played with angelic delicacy in this case.
