[Edit]Over a decade into a strong career as a vocalist, Monday Michiru moved from more straightforward dance to contemporary vocal jazz. With Routes, both styles are employed and hark back to her original foundation while looking toward her constant musical development. The songs here are all penned by Michiru, and she provides the production to boot. The album's sound is neo-soul with all of the influences Michiru can pack in along the way, and is performed beautifully in a way only Michiru can.
