[Edit]Morgion may be a doom metal band, but they're doom metal in the early, 1980s sense of the term — their compositions have a gothic, epic feel underscoring the dark, doom-laden lyrics, much in the manner of genre innovators Celtic Frost. That's not to say that they haven't updated the sound for the late '90s, though; there's a brutal crunch to Solinari that just wasn't present in the genre's early days.
