[Edit]Popular Mexican norteño accordionist and singer/songwriter Noel Torres returns with 2014's Balanza, his fifth studio album. Since his 2011 debut, Al Frente y de Frente, became a hit on the Billboard charts, the prolific artist has delivered an album each year for Sony's Gerencia 360 label. The 15 tracks on La Balanza are a colorful and vibrant mix of modern-day norteño styles full of rich, percussive brass sections, bajo sexto, accordion, and often wild, inventive drumming. Rising above it all is Torres' strong, passionate voice.
