[Edit]On this recent release of a recording made in 1983, Pandit Jasraj sings a famous composition in a traditional rag — "Multani" — paired with a rag (and thus composition) of his own creation. Both performances show his famous sensitivity and restraint. His expression of the sentiment of the rags through sargam (singing the names of the notes) is wonderfully satisfactory.
