A consistently impressive production crew from Germany, The Snowgoons started recording in the late '90s and dropped their proper debut album, German Lugers, on Babygrande in 2007. Since then, they've been increasingly busy, collaborating with a wide variety of underground artists (including La Coka Nostra, Jedi Mind Tricks, and Boot Camp Clik) and putting out high-quality full-lengths like The Trojan Horse, The Iron Fist, and Black Snow. They've also done full-on collabo LPs with Reef the Lost Cauze and M.O.P., among others, and here they connect with golden-era rap royalty PMD (of EPMD) and Queens-bred Sean Strange (a member of NGP and affiliated with Necro's Psycho+Logical Records). As usual, the beats here are epic and dramatic, with lots of sweeping strings, orchestral flourishes, razor-sharp scratches, and seriously pummeling drums. Don't miss "All Around the World," "Stand Up (For the Love of Hip Hop)," and the thunderous posse cut "Goondox Saints."
