[Edit]Slam's Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle know better than to let up just because they've released a full-length under an alias, and the first Pressure Funk LP proves to be just as pummeling a ride through techno and funk as their Slam material — heavy on the subtleties but with plenty of big sounds to entertain dancefloor residents. Though previous singles such as the title track and "Raw Spirit" get the best play, the album works from beginning to end (a pleasant surprise given its hour-plus length).
