Fiddler Miller is joined by Russ Barenberg, Peter Barnes, Molly Mason and Tim Jackson for a delightful set of instrumentals that run the gamut of sources, from the hills of Ireland to the mountains of Appalachia. Miller's fiddling is fluid and the arrangements are as comfortable as an old shoe, with the odd spot of time out for acoustic guitar solos and the occasional hint of bluegrass, plus a highlight in a rollicking edition of "The Hangman's Reel." Presented with a smile and a wink, as good for dancing as for a reviewer's comments; a lovely little record.
