Details
[Edit]Indiana's Split Lip lay beneath a Midwestern sky and question the stars. They discover the four walls around them and try to make sense of what's in-between; coming to terms, from rage to celebration to tears. For the Love of the Wounded is indeed that evocative. It is music bred from early '90s hardcore that retains the style's metallic crunch but expands it into a driving melodic rock. Acoustic guitars, smart dynamics that switch between lush and tight, and literary lyrics that sting of political/self awareness all go along for the ride. For the Love of the Wounded is an original effort that retains some of hardcore's key characteristics — it is active not passive, honest not contrived.
