Let's Break Up!

Teenage Frames are a loud, bratty, and rousing punk-like quartet prone to sporting neckties with obscene messages emblazoned on them and hats the likes of which Mick Jones would have proudly been photographed in. In other words, the ingredients for a good-time punk & roll experience are seemingly in place. The EP Let's Break Up! doesn't disappoint. The title track rollicks through the verses and explodes into singalong double-time choruses powered by singer Frankie Delmane's nasal tones and Eric Vegas' Johnny Thunders-inspired guitar riffs, "Totally Inconsiderate" gallops along nicely with handclaps and barroom piano adding an extra spark, and "What a Way to Go!," while not as impressive as the previous two gems, still careens along quite pleasingly. The EP is a short and breathlessly exciting record, and it works perfectly as a taster for the group's future records.
