Details
[Edit]These instrumental takes on some highlights from the Doors catalog are performed for violin, viola, and cello. They stick pretty close to the original rhythms and melodies, particularly on "Hello I Love You," "Light My Fire," and "Touch Me." However, "Lover Her Madly" adds some barroom piano and what could be keyboard strings behind the violin, "Break on Through" re-creates the bassline with sly class, and "Riders on the Storm" is a brooding and brittle showcase for the violins. String Quartet Tribute to the Doors might have been a bit more adventurous, but it still offers Doors diehards some alternate viewpoints on the band's well-known material.
