In 1982, for reasons that nobody can quite understand (although no one would argue too much over, either), Columbia Records in America suddenly became interested in re-releasing the Over Under Sideways Down album, and doing it right. The title and original artwork from the U.K. version of the album, and, more importantly, the missing "Rack My Mind" and "The Nazz Are Blue" (left off of Over Under Sideways Down) were retrieved, and the finished mono versions of "Hot House of Omagararshid," "Lost Woman," "He's Always There," and "Turn Into Earth" (as opposed to the improperly mixed and mastered, incomplete stereo versions) were gathered together. The two single A-sides and B-sides "Happenings Ten Years' Time Ago" and "Psycho Daisies" — a pair of hot psychedelic blues numbers featuring the Jeff Beck-Jimmy Page double lead guitar lineup of the band — were added on, and the sound was all cleaned up and the album put out with a new catalog number. And then it was ignored by the public and deleted. This was the best single LP assembly of this album ever put together, in England or America, and is worth tracking down for fans of Beck's guitar playing or of the band in general.
