[Edit]Hailing from Vallejo, Calif., Turf Talk has been putting in work for more than a decade, after first being put on by his cousin/mentor, Bay Area hip-hop legend E-40. He was a major force in the short-lived hyphy movement and has dropped eight solo albums since 2004. Richmond rapper Laroo is lesser known and newer to the game, but he still comes correct on this collabo project that also features local heroes such as The Jacka, C-Bo, E-40, Yukmouth, Droop-E, Cousin Fik, Armani DePaul, and Philthy Rich. Released on 40 Water's longstanding Sick Wid It label, it's loaded with bold beats and high-life verses, as Turf, Laroo, and friends sound off about making money, staying strapped, and big-upping the Bay.
