[Edit]The Birth of a Nation is more post-punk, urban funk e-music from Fredrik Von Hamilton, aka Vampire Nation. Von Hamilton takes a look at the Civil War, its dramatic effect on the U.S.A. and how reconstruction had a negative impact on African-Americans. His cause celebre is — and always has been — racial equality. His anger is reflected in his angst-laden soundscapes. This is deep stuff and VN is not backing down at all. The intricate sound design is slick and the atmospheres are hot. Like all VN CDs, this disc has a unique sound.
