I'm In You

Not your average post-punk revivalists, I'm in You feature the core trio of vocalists/guitarists Chris McHenry and Sebastian Ischer and bassist Dmitry Ishenko, who incorporate disco, free jazz, and experimental electronics — as well as a host of collaborators — into their moody songs. After forming in 2007, I'm in You released their debut album, War Dreams, the following year; it caught the ear of Interpol's Paul Banks, who recruited the band to be the opening act for his Julian Plenti tour in 2009. The next year, I'm in You released their self-titled second album, which boasted a more experimental bent incorporating strings, vintage synths, and industrial-inspired percussion. The band took inspiration from funk, R&B, and new wave for 2013's Trust, which they described as a re-imagining of the music of their formative years.
