Biography

[Edit]

Danish electronic musician Kasper Bjørke first came to prominence in the late '90s as one half of the disco house duo Filur. Throughout the following decade, he and collaborator Tomas Barfod recorded four albums and numerous hit singles which often featured guest vocalists from throughout the European dance and pop scenes. Beginning in 2007, he began releasing music under his own name, though his partnership with Barfod would continue both with Filur and their DJ/Party side project Superbacon. His solo albums run the gamut from rave-rock and disco to Kraut, house, techno, and electro and often feature collaborations with other vocalists. One of the most well-known and versatile producers in the Danish electronic scene, Bjørke has traveled the world as a DJ, remixed tracks for a variety of artists like Moby, Martin Brodin, Ilya Santana, Human Woman, Darkness Falls, and Laid Back. Outside of his own creative endeavors, he helped launch Danish label Fake Diamonds, working as their A&R man to build their roster, and he also runs his own management company representing acts like Trentemøller and Reptile Youth. In 2014, he released his fourth solo album After Forever of German label hfn.
